How to protect yourself from malware?

Hello Pwners! Today Lets get back to the basics!

Hackers have become very common nowadays and they are planning to produce new malwares everyday so it is very important to protect your computer from all such threats to remain safe. In the earlier days, malware were used to destroy files and gain access to them but now most of the malwares being produced are profit based and hackers think to generate profits from such programs.

These online hackers are mostly looking to get your banking information. Hackers usually send these malware in the form of emails and when the user opens this email, the program is installed in your computer and the malware gains access to the files in your computer. There are a few ways you can use to protect your computer from any kinds of viruses.

The first thing you need to make sure is that your computer is updated and secure from any kind of viruses or malicious software. Usually the antivirus programs we use are not always completely secure and they contain certain loopholes that can be breached by the hackers to gain access to your computer.

The software companies that there software is not completely perfect and that is the reason why they tend to release updates to their programs and you should make sure that you install these updates to get the maximum security. It is also recommended to run online security programs that enable browsing security and this way your computer can be protected from online threats.

Random pop-up windows that usually pop up when you’re browsing can be very dangerous so it is important to be very cautious of them. Most of the pop ups are just annoying rather than harmful but you should always try not to click on them and close them by other means and if these popups try to install any program automatically you should cancel the installation right away.

Another way to stay protected is to think several times before installing malicious software. Some people download and install programs right away without even checking them properly but it is recommended to think at least thrice before installing any program on your computer.

Before installing a program, google it and search about it and gain some information and if you’re uncertain about something try to contact somebody who has proper IT knowledge and guide you through the installation of such programs.

Hopefully this helps keep your computer free of malware!

Search Conduit, This Definitely Needs Pwned.

Conduit Search Spyware is Everywhere

Conduit Search is a browser hijacker that installs itself on your computer, similar to many of the other adware threats out there by bundling itself with other potentially useful software. If you are not paying attention when you are downloading software online, you WILL become infected with malware or a virus.

The key to take away from this is that if you ARE paying attention and reading the dialog boxes when you install software you download online, you CAN stop these infections.

You do not have to be a security professional to protect yourself, you simply have to read what is put on your monitor when you’re installing software. Most of these adware are bundled and installed right under your nose!

Search Conduit is a program that will take over your browser. It typically will redirect which browser you are using, internet explorer, chrome or Firefox to the search conduit homepage when you open your browser. The reason they do this is to be able to generate ad revenue from you clicking on ads while you’re trying to figure out what the heck is going on with your browser!

When you try to uninstall this search protect by conduit you typically will get this message: “you do not have sufficient access to uninstall search protect” this message is telling you that search protect has installed itself into the root of your windows directory and you will have to follow the specific detailed instructions listed in that link to remove it.

Basic Pwning of Search Conduit Steps

  • Navigate to the start menu, chose control panel, and goto uninstall a program.
  • Find the “conduit community toolbar” from the list of programs and click uninstall.

Next Remove from Toolbar in your Browser

  • Goto Tools icon in Internet Explorer, then Internet Options, General tab, Click programs, manage addons, toolbars, select Conduit, click remove.
  • Google Chrome: Click on Customize button in top right corner, goto settings, then manage extensions and remove any Conduit listings.

To prevent this from happening again you can do one of two things. They are both very simple. You can read every line and option that is put in front of you when you are installing software that you download online and OPT OUT of installation of these types of adware.

Or you can download malwarebytes anti malware from our ad at the top of our site and use it to protect yourself from these things in the future for a very reasonable price.

Either way, at least you have PWNED Search Conduit now, and its not bothering you anymore!

Good Work!

Searchalot Virus and What to do about it!

Searchalot is a type of malware considered as adware. It installs itself on your computer usually without the consent of the user. Searchalots creators made this program so that they could get it installed on the computers of as many users as possible. Then after the software is installed it will serve ads up on your pc that you don’t want.

Searchalot is the type of malware that creates popups in your browsers when you’re surfing the internet. It can also adjust your browser settings so that you are unable to go to any other site as your homepage except

Help me get rid of this!

The searchalot redirect program can be removed from your pc by the combination of using windows basic uninstallation program as well as malwarebytes antimalware scanning software.

Step 1.

From the windows start page, go to the start menu and get into windows uninstaller, goto start menu, then ctrl panel, then add/remove programs. From there find the searchalot.exe program file and click the uninstall button, it should be renamed searchalot.exe, if you can’t find that file you’ll need to consult this searchalot guide, because there is still a way to remove the malware but its beyond my skills.

Step 2.

If you’re able to find the searchalot.exe file in the uninstaller then you are in luck and you can continue with this basic removal guide.
The next step is to restart your computer to make sure the file is completely removed. Next you need to open your preferred web browser, inside your browser, whichever one you are using, go into the settings menu and find browser help objects, or browser addons. Once you have located this specific location, find the searchalot toolbar BHO or addon, and remove it from this section of your browser setup.

Step 3.

Finally, go to the settings menu again in your browser and find the “default search engine” box in the settings menu. When you have done this, type in whatever address you want to be your default search engine such as google, bing or yahoo and delete the one that says “searchalot engine”.

Reset your computer once again for good measure and there you go that should have gotten rid of the search alot virus for you!
